The accommodation occupies the basement level of a large house in Laroque des Alberes and is situated within easy walking distance (or as the French would say “two steps”) to the town centre and all its amenities. French gite holidays don’t come much better than this.
The upper levels of the house are retained by the owners for private living quarters. But the gite has its own private entrance and outside terrace area.
It provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to four people and that really does mean each person will have their own bed space, no sofa beds, bunk beds or air beds in this apartment. Perfect for idyllic French holidays in the Pyrenees-Orientales region of Southern France.
In summary, the accommodation comprises of a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area with two bedrooms, a luxury bathroom and utility area with automatic washing machine, ironing board and iron.
There is WIFI for access to the internet, plus all the usual amenities, such as TV & DVD player, radio/CD player and a good selection of books and magazines.
Outside is a pool terrace with private pool (7.6m x 3.8m) and plenty of scope for alfresco eating either cooking on the barbecue or utilising the well equipped kitchen area. Or if you prefer it can just be a great place to chill out and relax before taking yourself off to one of the many fabulous restaurants in the village or surrounding area.
The kitchen is particularly well equipped, with a dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, separate drinks fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and a range of cooking utensils.
If you choose to, you can cater for and prepare your own meals almost as though you were at home. Great for all those budding chefs who fancy testing their culinary skills with a bit of home cooking,maybe with a French theme.

For young families we can also provide a high chair and travel cot for toddlers.
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms that cater comfortably for up to 4 people, perfect for a family with 2 children, groups of friends or just four individuals.
The master bedroom is light and airy double bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a good sized wardrobe and storage space for clothes.
The second bedroom is arranged as a twin bedroom, with two single beds, a wardrobe and further storage space for clothes.
Linen is provided for the beds and they are prepared for your arrival as part of the rental agreement. So there is nothing to do when you arrive, you can just fall into bed and enjoy a good nights sleep.
Luxury Bathroom
There is a large, luxurious family bathroom which serves both of the bedrooms. The bathroom has, in addition to the bath a good sized shower, vanity unit and a WC.
Plenty of space in this bathroom and lots of lighting options to allow you to see what you are doing or just chill in the bath.
Towels for the bathroom and house are provided, as well as towels for the pool and or the beach at nearby Argeles sur Mer.
Swimming Pool & Terrace
The swimming pool is located directly outside the French windows of the apartment.
It is 7.6 by 3.8 metres in size and 1.75 metres deep at the deep end with roman steps leading down into the 1.25 metre deep shallow end.
As required for French safety regulations, it can be quickly and easily covered with a security cover when not in use or when left unattended.
